We explore twelve sectors and how they change as technology systems get built on Technology DNA.
All life is built on biological DNA. To us it is reasonable that every technology system will be built on Technology DNA: one shared dictionary of meaning, five tables, interoperability solved, cheaper to build and evolve systems, cheaper and faster to run. But what happens when every system understands each other, every person and organisation has true sovereignty over their data, and every change is counted?
Most integration work disappears. Instead, each sector pays specialists to define its terms in the dictionary and keep them up to date.
System integration services: $553bn in 2025 (MarketsandMarkets). Organisations run 897 applications on average; only 29% are connected (MuleSoft, 2025).
Software houses build on Technology DNA, so each sector can choose between many designs, and each organisation owns what it buys.
Prices for rented software rose 16.4% in the year to June 2026 (Vertice). Worldwide software spending: $1.44tn in 2026 (Gartner).
People decide who may see their data, sell access through brokers who act for them, and receive most of the money.
Meta advertising revenue: $196bn in 2025, $57 for each person using its apps (Meta, Form 10-K).
Funders build their tools on the signed records of the organisations they fund. Investing on Evidence and Five by Five are two early examples.
In 2025, buyers of venture and growth stakes paid 78 cents for each dollar of reported value (Jefferies).
engage.re's efficacy tools show the public what each department achieves. Sovereignty, Sense Future's framework for democracy, is built on those tools.
Across OECD countries 39% of people trust their national government; in the UK, 27% (OECD Trust Survey, 2024).
Doctors, researchers and device makers read the same readings with the patient's permission, and the result of every treatment is counted.
Administrative complexity costs US health care about $266bn a year (Shrank and others, JAMA, 2019).
Agencies compete on finding and matching people, not on holding their data, and each hire relies on records that neither side can falsify.
A quarter of 55,000 CVs checked had details that did not match the records (Credence, 2019).
Tax authorities, lenders and buyers read the same signed records, so VAT returns are not needed and no invoice can be financed twice.
EU VAT gap: €89.3bn in 2022, 7% of the VAT due (European Commission, 2024).
Auditors and regulators spend less time collecting evidence and more on judgement: valuations, estimates and whether the business can continue trading.
EY alone earned $17.9bn from assurance in its 2025 financial year (EY, 2025).
Each AI and each child has its own account. The person responsible for that account sees everything done in it and sets limits, but cannot act in it.
Gartner expects AI agents in 40% of business applications by the end of 2026.
Figures are counted, not estimated. Statistics agencies and research firms concentrate on deciding what to measure and on asking people why.
A census from registers cost $0.07 a person in Denmark; a census by survey cost $40.17 a person in the US (UNECE, 2014).
Hosts become interchangeable and compete on price, location and service. Because every system has the same structure, that structure can be built into a chip.
AWS and Microsoft each hold 30 to 40% of UK cloud services (Competition and Markets Authority, 2025).
About Technology DNA. Statements about Technology DNA, engage.re, the 5T Chip and IC Intelligence come from Technology DNA capabilities (September 2026), the Investor Deck and the Sovereign Graph specification (relationships as two signed halves, invariant 9). Grants passed on only in narrower form: graph/shared/sovereign/capability.ts. Identity checked once, apps receive yes or no: graph/src/identity-claim.ts. The dictionary’s constitution: free to read (Article 14), not for sale (Article 8), creation not gatekept (Article 1). Items marked R&D are in research and development.
