Every system we build starts with the same question: how does your organisation actually work? Not how its software works. How the organisation itself works. Its relationships, its processes, its needs. We build systems around the answer.
For us, at Sense Future, where we are building the lifeworld interface (engage.re), that answer came late one night when we were designing a property transaction system as an external application on top of it. Three questions came up that changed everything: if AI will soon generate applications in pure binary, how is data stored efficiently? What is the shared language of applications when it is no longer code? And how will post software applications interoperate?
We realised all systems collapse into five permanent tables. Things, relationships, properties, communication, and change. We had just spent an intense two months building engage.re. But that night, we built the graph system and started building engage.re again from scratch.
A few days later we secured our first graph client.
