A bespoke website for one of the UK's largest independent bird centres, built so the family who runs it can evolve it themselves.
Enfield Bird Centre is a family bird shop in Crews Hill, Enfield. One of the biggest in the country. Founded in 1985 in a 20-foot space inside a nursery, expanded over decades by the founder, Antony. Now run by the next generation. They stock hundreds of species and are open seven days a week.
They had no website.
A site that felt like the shop. Warm, knowledgeable, personal. Not an e-commerce platform. A way to show what they sell, share advice, and give customers a reason to visit. And a way to update everything themselves without calling a developer.
The project included branding, logo and concept design, and a bespoke website at enfieldbirdcentre.com. Product catalogue, photo and video gallery, tips and articles, contact form, and a custom admin panel so the team can manage everything themselves. Secured hosting, automated backups.
The project was completed in two weeks, from the moment we were contracted to handover.
Day-to-day updates happen through the admin panel: adding products, changing prices, uploading photos. No developer needed, even for substantial back end or front end website changes. Local previews before they go live. Git commits on all changes, so mistakes can be reversed. We are always on hand if needed.
The team owns all the code and has full control to evolve it. This is the principle behind every system we build. You're not renting access. It's yours.
